In Pattaya, Thai immigration officers arrested a 27-year-old Israeli fugitive for exceeding his visa limit, revealing that he was wanted for a violent attack in Tel Aviv.
Authorities identified the suspect as 27-year-old Israeli Mr. T, who was arrested on February 3rd. He was found to be the subject of an Interpol Red Notice related to a serious crime in Israel. Police took him into custody for visa overstaying and subsequently revoked his permit to stay in Thailand.
Pol. Maj. Gen. Chairit Anurit, who was in charge of operations, had said that Mr. T had been involved in a brutal attack in Tel Aviv, where he and his friend had lured a victim to their flat and then repeatedly struck the victim’s head with a bottle and stabbed them multiple times in the neck. The victim was then left critically injured.
The Tel Aviv District Court had previously issued an arrest warrant against him for aggravated assault, a charge that could result in a prison sentence exceeding 23 years.
Investigators discovered that following the attack, Mr. T escaped Israel with a forged passport upon hearing that his accomplice was arrested. He subsequently entered Thailand and hid in Pattaya at the end of 2024. Immigration officers captured him in Central Pattaya and are working with the relevant authorities to coordinate his extradition back to his home country.
