A video of a brutal assault by a gang led by a transgender woman outside ‘A hostel’ in South Pattaya on June 22 was posted on social media by Miss A, 22, sparking outrage.

Footage from CCTV cameras inside the dorm and local recordings captured the alarming event. The attackers were accused by Miss A of pressuring her to engage in prostitution as a means of paying off a debt.

Miss A gave her statement at the Pattaya City Police Station on June 26, naming five suspects in the assault. Phuwanai, 21, known as “Kapa” or “Mechi,” was identified as the principal attacker.

Based on the evidence, investigators are preparing to apply for an arrest warrant against Phuwanai in court.
